Palestinian suffering in Gaza

Abdul Haqq ibn Omar

The month of Ramadan brought with it the unending tale of suffering of the Palestinians that continues to this day.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, we have witnessed the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza. I have not been able to sleep properly despite lack of sleep because of long days and short nights as well as the late night prayers.

I have prayed hard to Allah to help the Muslim Ummah but unfortunately our prayers go unanswered. The reason is clear: we have abandoned our responsibilities as Muslims. We are Muslim in name only otherwise it would not be easy for others to humiliate us in this manner. When we have a problem, we must find its root causes. In my humble opinion, our problem is the regimes otherwise how is it possible that with so many resources in the Muslim world, we are still humiliated.

I believe if Muslims struggling to overthrow these regimes were helped and proper Islamic governments established, most if not all of our problems would be over. For this to materialize, we must have a clear understanding of our present reality, the ultimate objective we wish to achieve and the process by which we will get there.
