The terrorist group, Daesh, is not only a threat to the region but to the entire world, declared Sheikh Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah in Dahiyeh district of Beirut earlier today.

The Hizbullah Secretary General was speaking on the occasion commemorating the martyrdom of resistance leaders Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, Sheikh Ragheb Harb and Imad Mughniyeh all of whom were martyred in the month of February but in different years. They laid down their lives for the sake of dignity, honor and freedom resisting Zionist occupation but did not flinch. Sheikh Ragheb Harb was martyred in February 1984; Sheikh Seyyed Abbas was martyred in February 1992 together with his wife and children and the revolutionary commander Imad Mughniyeh joined his Creator in February 2008.

Drinking from the cup of martyrdom, they offered their blood to enrich the resistance against aggression, tyranny and oppression. The odds they faced did not worry them; they had a mission and a purpose: never to surrender before the oppressors until the objectives of the resistance are achieved.

The martyr Imad Mughniyeh’s 18-year-old son Jihad followed in his father’s footsteps and also achieved martyrdom on January 18, 2015 in Quneitra. He was martyred together with five other Hizbullah members as well as a general from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. Regarding the Takfiri movements, the Hizbullah Secretary General said: "We have repeatedly warned that the Takfiri threat isn't a threat to certain regimes, but to all the countries and peoples. Takfiris are a threat to Islam as a religion and a message. Daesh threatens the peace of the whole world.”

"The region has undergone major events and it is being recreated from scratch," he said, warning: "whoever wants to decide Lebanon's fate must be present in the fate of the region. If you want to be absent, you are telling others to control your fate."

The resistance leader added: "In light of this travail, the fate and survival of entities and peoples will be decided and the entire world will be affected. No one can say, ‘I'm Lebanese’, because the fate of our people, country, dignity and the future of our generations is at stake."

Referring to the execution of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians by the takfiri terrorists in Libya, Seyyed Nasrallah strongly condemned the crime saying no religion tolerates such crimes. "We extend our condolences to the Egyptian people and the Coptic Church. This crime has affected both Islam and Christianity."

Explaining the significance of the anniversary of the martyrs, Hizbullah Leader said: "We commemorate and talk about this anniversary and the martyrs' jihad for us and to draw lessons and to teach the sons, grandsons and future generations, not for the martyrs. We celebrate this occasion so that the past remains connected to the present and future."

He called for devising a comprehensive anti-terror strategy for Lebanon, saying "We agree on the enemy that is terrorism and, unfortunately, we disagree over another enemy, which is ‘Israel’."

He urged various factions in Lebanon to open their eyes to the threat the Zionist regime poses not only to Lebanon but to the entire region. The Zionist regime is actively supporting the takfiri terrorists in Syria. This has been admitted even by former Israeli military officials.
