In the 1,000 days since Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, the Palestinian death toll has surpassed 73,066.
Another 173,514 Palestinians have been wounded.
This was reported by Gaza’s Government Media Office.
The British medical journal, Lancet, estimates that Palestinian deaths in Gaza since October 2023 are 40% higher than officially reported.
Almost every building in Gaza—homes, apartment buildings, schools, colleges, libraries, universities, hospitals and even bakeries have been destroyed.
Of the number of Palestinians killed, 55% are children, women or the elderly.
The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry in its report dated June 23, 2026 detailed acts of Israeli forces deliberately targeting and killing over 20,000 Palestinian children that amount to genocide.
They are the most vulnerable segment of society.
The Palestinians’ plight is made worse by the zionists withholding food, water and medicines.
Almost every hospital in Gaza has been damaged or destroyed.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that only 19 of Gaza’s 36 hospitals remain partially operational, including one hospital providing basic care for the remaining patients still inside the hospital.
There is severe shortage of supplies, lack of health workers, and persistent insecurity.
The zionists have kidnapped scores of doctors and other medical workers from hospitals.
At least 1,700 medical workers have been killed, according to Gaza’s Media Office.
197 ambulances have also been targeted to preven them from reaching the wounded.
This results in injured Palestinians often bleeding to death.
Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, the well-known orthopedic surgeon and director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza has been held without charge since his abduction on December 27, 2024.
He has been kept in solitary confinement including incarceration at the notorious Sde Teiman prison in the Negev.
On June 10, 2026, he appeared via video link before the Israeli Supreme Court to appeal his illegal detention.
Looking visibly weak and showing signs of torture, the Israeli court rejected his appeal.
Expecting justice from the occupier’s court is a forelorn quest.
All Palestinian prisoners are subjected to severe torture, including sexual abuse.
At least 94% of all hospitals in the Gaza Strip are damaged or destroyed.
The zionist terrorists have also targeted journalists to prevent Israeli crimes from being reported internationally.
At least 262 journalists and 556 aid workers have been killed since October 2023.
There are 58,800 orphaned children in Gaza, with only one parent or none left.
Given the grim situation in Gaza, these orphans have little or no support.
They suffer from severe trauma and mental issues.
That is part of the zionists’ deliberate plan: to wipe out the entire population of Gaza.
More than 2,700 families have been erased from the civil registry, according to Gaza Government’s Media Office.
There are also more than 2.1 million cases of infectious diseases recorded among Palestinians in Gaza.
Of these, 22,000 patients need treatment abroad but are unable to leave Gaza due to Israeli restrictions.
Israel has dropped 223,000 tonnes of explosives on Gaza.
Compare that to the 15,000 tonnes dropped by the US on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the Second World War.
Zionist officials have repeatedly stated—and openly—that they will make Gaza uninhabitable.
As part of this policy, 410,000 homes and buildings have been destroyed or rendered uninhabitable.
Around 2 million people were forcibly displaced, with 350,000 families needing shelter.
Since October 11, 2025 ,the first full day of the so-called ceasefire, Israel has killed at least 1,059 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 3,429, while 788 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.
Gaza officials say famine has returned: Only 25% of the food needs of Gaza’s population are entering the Strip through crossings, Gaza’s Social Development Ministry said on July 1.
And Israeli war minister, Israel Katz has vowed that the zionist entity will occupy 100% of Gaza.
At present the occupation forces control 70% of the Strip.
