Germany imports Iran’s COVID-19 testing kits

As the Western corporate media misses no chance to put-down Islamic Iran’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, the positive story which was largely ignored by the same media was Germany importing 40,000 Iranian-made COVID-19 testing kits.

As reported by the Washington based al-monitor.com, “The kits were developed by Pishtaz Teb Diagnostics, a company that has been focused on laboratory research and medical diagnosis tools since 1988. The company’s website doesn’t specify its affiliation and funding sources. Already approved by Iran’s Health Ministry, another batch of the same kits are also expected to reach Turkey soon. Company officials have spoken of similar orders placed by a host of other countries, including Spain and Brazil.”

Iran’s medical sector is widely recognized as highly advanced. Thus, it is no surprise that the two medically advanced countries, Germany and Iran, forged a path of cooperation during these unusual times.

Saudi regime in overdrive, producing dissidents and prisoners

Apart from massive oil production, the Saudi regime is in overdrive to produce political prisoners and dissidents.

As reported by the Middle East Eye (MEE), “a Saudi dissident who fled to Europe was forced to go to court in Germany to gain political asylum after immigration officials sat on his case for more than 18 months. Rasheed Alameer, a 35-year-old medical doctor who left Saudi Arabia in 2018, was finally granted refugee status in March within days of filing a legal complaint against the German government over the delay.”

While seeking asylum in Western countries might seem like a solid safety option for many Saudi dissidents, the political reality of their situation is much more complex.

Many Western countries that preach freedom and democracy are on very friendly terms with the despotic Saudi regime. Thus, the safety of Saudi dissidents is not a done deal once they flee abroad.

Islamic Iran divides the US ruling caste

Donald Trump’s crude strategy in tackling the rising influence of Islamic Iran has created deep divisions within the US ruling caste.

As reported by the Washington based al-monitor.com, “President Donald Trump laid into some of his close Senate allies for siding with Democrats on an Iran war powers bill even as Congress failed to override his veto.”

Trump was quoted as saying, “This was a very insulting resolution, introduced by Democrats as part of a strategy to win an election on Nov. 3 by dividing the Republican Party… The few Republicans who voted for it played right into their hands.”

It appears that the US governing elite is recognizing that while Trump is wasting US prestige and influence in the Muslim World by playing checkers, Tehran is engaged in a determined game of chess.

A move to limit Trump’s warmongering is simply an attempt to save the US empire from humiliation.

Corporate media establishment fails to credit Russian journalists

In an attempt to re-enforce the US cold-war style narrative against Russia and China, the New York Times overlooked basic principles of journalism.

The Grayzone reported that “The New York Times has been accused for a second time of stealing major scoops from Russian journalists. One of those stories won the Times a Pulitzer Prize this May. The journalists who have accused the Times of taking their work without credit also happen to be the same liberal media crusaders against Vladimir Putin that Western correspondents at the Times and other mainstream outlets have cast as persecuted heroes.”

The two Russian journalists which publicly called out the Pulitzer Prize awards to Western publications based on their original findings are Roman Badanin and Roman Dobrokhotov. Both are die-hard anti-Putin activists who are given wide exposure in the Western media.
